Bill Rickson, pictured during the war....

 

In Memory of an Old Soldier I was privileged to know:

Private William George Frederick Rickson

1st Bn. Royal West Kent Regiment

Bill fought at Hill 60, Delville Wood, Arras and Vimy Ridge.

He died peacefully aged 102.

....and back at Hill 60 where he had fought all those years earlier
