Prouville Churchyard

Prouville is a small village in the Department of the Somme, just north of the main road from Doullens to Abbeville and 4 kilometres north-west of Bernaville. In the north-east corner of the churchyard are the graves of two soldiers of the South Staffordshire Regt.

Pte W. HOUGH. 1st/5th Bn. Died 28th Feb. 1916.


Sgt. Sidney Clifford ROOKER. 1st/5th Bn. Died 28th Feb. 1916, aged 23. Son of Thomas and Ester Ann Rooker of 128 Station Road, Brierley Hill, Staffordshire.
