Roisel is a small town in the Department of the Somme, 10 kilometres
east of Péronne. The communal cemetery is on the east side of the road to
Villers-Faucon and the extension is immediately north of the communal
cemetery.

Burial details: One burial here, not a CWGC headstone but a private memorial, quite large on the right of the first entrance into the cemetery approaching from Roisel town centre. The memorial commemorates 2nd Lt. Eric Allan Gifford COULES, 129th Field Coy., Royal Engineers, died 28th Oct. 1917, aged 19. Son of Allan Harry and Isabel Susannah Coules of "Lyndhurst" Horn Lane, Acton, London. Entered Woolwich Royal Military Academy June 1916 as a Prize Cadet, 3rd on List. Passed out 2nd on List. His inscription reads "Never mind me, get on with the work" |
