Lamotte-Buleux Communal Cemetery

Lamotte-Buleux is a village and commune in the Department of the Somme, ten kilometres north of Abbeville and about three kilometres east of the main road (N.1) from the town to Boulogne-sur-Mer. The communal cemetery is south-south-west of the village on the road to Hautvillers-Ourville. The grave of an airman of the Royal Air Force is about eight metres north-west of the southern corner of the cemetery, adjacent to the boundary hedge.

Aircraft: Blenheim Mk IV, serial R3709
Target: Abbeville, Somme, France
Incident: The aircraft was shot down near Lamotte-Buleux. Pilot Officer G. P. Robinson and Sgt. J. Houston were taken prisoner

 

 

Burial Details:

 

Sgt. Brian William BURT, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve. Died 8th June 1940, aged 27. Son of William Joseph and Fanny Burt of Hull
