Location Information

Arcis-Le-Ponsart is a commune 38 kilometres east of Soissons. The Cemetery is on the right hand side of a small road, direction Mont sur Courville, on the outskirts of the commune.

The Cemetery contains 3 Commonwealth war graves from the First World War, located in the bottom left hand corner.



Burial Details

SE/26838 Private P. E. Nichols, 19th Veterinary Hospital, Army Veterinary Corps, died 26th May 1918, aged 38. Son of Mr. & Mrs. Nichols of New Park Road, Brixton Hill, London; husband of Mrs. L. M. Collins (formerly Nichols) 34 Wingfield Road, Brixton Hill, London. His headstone bears the inscription "At Rest"

412764 Sapper C. Picken, 466th Field Coy. Royal Engineers, died  27th May 1918.

TT/O/3330 Private Stephen Shillito, Army Veterinary Corps attached to XI Corps Vest. Station, died  26th May 1918. Son of Edwin and Emily Shillito; husband of Kate Shillito of 16 Elsworth Street, Doncaster
