Location Information

Beaumont is 5 kilometres from Henin-Beaumont which is a town 115 kilometres south of Calais, in the Pas de Calais Region. From Calais, take motorway 26 to Bethune, follow Exit 6.1 signposted Lievin-Lens-Douai-Lille. Follow the sign for Lens-Douai-Lille-Bully Les Lievin. Near Lens, follow the A21 then take Exit 16, signposted Henin Beaumont Centre then follow the signs to Beaumont.

Frederick Leycester Barwell
40th Squadron, Royal Flying Corps and 1st/16th Bn. London Regiment (Queen's Westminster Rifles)
29th April 1917, aged 22. 

​Son of Leycester and Mabel Barwell, of The Red Cottage, Waltham St. Lawrence, Berks.







Other Burial Details

Second Lieutenant John Herbert Cock, 60th Squadron, Royal Flying Corps, died 14th April 1917, aged 23. Son of Joseph Henry and Elizabeth Mary Cock, of Nelson, New Zealand. Also served with New Zealand Expeditionary Force at Gallipoli, and in Egypt.

Captain William P. Holt, 29th Squadron, Royal Flying Corps and Army Service Corps, died 24th June 1917.

711346 Driver James Roscow, "C" Battery, 277th Brigade, Royal Field Artillery, died 13th October 1918, aged 24. Son of James and Sarah Roscow, of 467, Bury Rd., Tonge, Bolton.

L/8797 Driver Alfred Tillotson, "C" Battery, 277th Brigade, Royal Field Artillery, died 13th October 1918, aged 21. Son of William and Mary Tillotson, of 80, Avondale Rd., Darwen, Lancs.
