Location Information

Carling is a town in the North-East of France on the German border. Carling (Karling) Communal Cemetery is located on the Rue du Cimetière.

Tom Raymond Moore
13th Bn. Gloucestershire Regiment
5th October 1918, aged 22.

Son of Augustus and Maria Moore, of Parkend, Glos.

Baptised on 3rd April 1896 at Parkend St Paul, West Dean, Gloucestershire. In the 1911 census 15 year old Tom was working as a colliery clerk. He enlisted in Lydney in the Glosters before February 1915 and was living at 35 Easton Road, Bristol.
​
Father Augustus Moore was the Stationmaster at Parkend and they lived in the Stationmasters house.
