Location Information
The village of Harchies is located north-west of Mons off the E42. From the E42 motorway turn off at junction 27 and onto the N505 direction Harchies. Cross over the railway and follow to the crossroads. Follow the main road straight over, direction Bernissart, the cemetery is on the left hand side of the road to Bernissart and this is called rue Boissonet. The graves are located to the right of the main path at the rear of the cemetery.


Historical Information

Harchies Communal Cemetery contains two Commonwealth burials of the First World War.



Burial Details

Second Lieutenant Sydney Edward Burden, 32nd Squadron, Royal Air Force, died 1st November 1918, aged 21. Son of Edward and Florence Ada Burden, of 160, Waller Rd., New Cross, London.
​

Lieutenant Harold Wilson, 32nd Squadron, Royal Air Force, died 1st November 1918, aged 23. Son of George and Annie Edwards Wilson of 1172, Lajoie Avenue, Outremont, Montreal, Canada. Born at Montreal, Canada.
