Location Information

Huby-St Leu Churchyard is 1.5 kilometres from Hesdin on the Rue d'Église.

Historical Information

This contains, in the North-East part, the graves of four soldiers from the United Kingdom and one from Australia who died in 1916.


Burial Details

M2/053316 Corporal John Blakeman, No. 3. Cav. Army Service Corps, died 1st October 1916, aged 30. Son of William and Margaret Blakeman, of Stone, Staffs; husband of Gertrude E. Blakeman, of 69, Albert St., Crewe.

6526 Driver Walter Lanham, 54th Bn. Australian Infantry, A. I. F., died 13th July 1916, aged 23. Son of Charles and Martha Lanham, of 170, Alfred St., Brisbane, Queensland.​

21289 Air Mechanic 2nd Class, J. T. McCulloch, H. Q. France, Royal Flying Corps, died 12th August 1916.

134352 Sapper Ernest Price, 29th Advance Park Company, Royal Engineers, died 18th June 1916, aged 28. Son of William Price, of Bicton Heath; husband of Annie Price, of "The Smithy", Bicton Heath, Shrewsbury.

T/4/096048 Private, L. G. Tiffin, 1st Indian Division, Supply Col. Army Service Corps, died 1st November 1916.
