POCOL WAR CEMETERY

The cemetery stands on the route Cortina - Passo Falzarego (1535 meters above sea level) in the Italian town of Pocol. The cemetery was built in 1935 and contains 9707 Italian soldiers (4455 unknown) and 37 Austrians, all of whom were brought here from other war cemeteries in the area
Significant burials here are: General Antoni Cantore, Captain Francesco Barbieri, Captain Riccardo Bajardi and Leutenant Mario Fusetti, all of whom were awarded the ItalianGold Medal.
