Location Information
The village of Lessines is located north of the town of Ath on the N57. From the E42 motorway, turn off at junction 32 onto the N7 direction Barry/Ath. Follow the N7 through Gaurain-Ramecroix, Barry, Leuze-En-Hainaut and Ligne to Ath. Keeping on the N7 go round the town of Ath to the junction with the N57. Turn onto the N57 direction Lessines and follow this road over the railway to the fourth turning on the right, turn right here into chemin de'Ath and the cemetery is 300 metres along the road on the left. To locate the war graves, enter by the main gate and turn immediately left. Six of the graves are 50 metres along the path and are against the boundary wall. The other two graves are in the middle of the cemetery, close to the chapel and can be seen if you turn your back to the bigger group of war graves.

The eight U. K. burials of the First World War in Lessines Communal Cemetery all date from the final advance or the post-Armistice period.
