​Location Information

The New Cemetery is due North of the Old Cemetery. Menton (Trabuquet) New cemetery is located North of the town on the Chemin du Trabuquet.


Visiting Information

The Commonwealth war grave is in "Carré Marne" (in the North-West corner of the second terrace, left). There are also 171 French graves in this section. In the Carré Verdun are 164 French and 5 Belgian graves and in the Carré Champagne there are 210 French graves. There are 179 in the Carré Orient.


Burial Details


710693 Gunner J. Young, 25th Battery, 35th Brigade, Royal Field Artillery, died 23rd November 1917, aged 24. Son of James Young; husband of Elizabeth Young, of 493, Chorley Old Rd., Bolton. His headstone bears the inscription "Peace Perfect Peace"
