Location Information

Neuville-en-Ferrain is a northern suburb of the town of Tourcoing, which is north-east of Lille. Leave the motorway (A22/E17) at Junction 17 for Neuville-en-Ferrain. The cemetery is just north of the centre of the village, on the Rue de Reckem. The graves are located under the War Memorial


Burial Details

Lieutenant Walter Arthur Brooking, 15th Sqdn. formerly Royal Horse Artillery, Royal Flying Corps, died 19th January 1916, aged 19.

Lieutenant James Cromwell Bush M. C., 22nd Sqdn. and Dorsetshire Regiment, Royal Flying Corps, died 7th October 1917, aged 26. Son of the Rev. H. Cromwell Bush and Mabel A. H. Bush, of Wishford Rectory, Salisbury. Served at Gallipoli with 5th Bn. Wiltshire Regt.

Lieutenant William Wetherall Chapman, 22nd Sqdn. and The Buffs (East Kent Regiment), Royal Flying Corps, died 7th October 1917, aged 21. Son of Mr. and Mrs. William C. N. Chapman, of Heppington, Canterbury. His brother Charles Meredith Bouverie Chapman MC also fell and is buried in Mendinghem Military Cemetery.
