Spare a thought while you wander.
Through Cemeteries Immaculately adorned
In view crisp green grass edges.
White marble headstones row after row
With precision stood to attention
Neat hedgerows and adorning flowerbeds
Passion for all to see

Monuments of epic proportions
That’s an open book for me and thee to read
As pages of the alphabet the Names from A. to Z.
Overly repeated many times we see

Many lives from far off distant lands
Did come to fight and die for you and me
In the name of Democracy for the many
Against Tyranny of the ruthless few
