Location Information

Sains en Amiénois is a commune in the Department of the Somme some 8 kilometres south of Amiens. When in Sains en Amiénois take the road on your right before the church, and the cemetery is located a little further on your right. The war graves are situated within the area of the French military plot.

3/43758 Rifleman F. W. Carter, 2nd Bn. Royal Irish Rifles, died 31st March 1918.

26891 Private A. Colebatch, 6th Bn. King's Shropshire Light Infantry, died 29th March 1918.

200234 Private J. R. Farrow, 1st/5th Bn. Durham Light Infantry, died 31st March 1918.

Lieutenant John Harry Knox, 2nd Canadian Railway Troops, died 30th March 1918, aged 23. Son of Y. H. and Mary Knox, of 38, Hill Holme Rd., Toronto. INSCRIPTION. GREATER LOVE HATH NO MAN THAN THIS THAT A MAN LAY DOWN HIS LIFE FOR HIS FRIENDS.

52601 Private Hedley George Littleproud, 2nd/7th Bn. Lancashire Fusiliers, died 31st March 1918, aged 25. Son of the late Alfred and Harriet Littleproud, of Gayton, King's Lynn, Norfolk; husband of Charlotte Emily Littleproud, of 6, Trafalgar St., Lowestoft.

2754 Private W. Smith, Lord Strathcona's Horse (Royal Canadians), died 31st March 1918.
