Location Information
Salomé is a village and commune 20 kilometres south-west of Lille and 3 kilometres east of La Bassée. This is a town on the N.41 (Lille-Bethune) road 22 kilometres south-east of Lille. The communal cemetery is on the eastern side of the village, on the D.141 road to Hantay and the German Military Cemetery is located at the back.
Historical Information
The Cemetery contains 3,548 German war graves from World War I. There are also two Austrian Burials and 2 Portuguese Burials in this cemetery.
