Sancourt British Cemetery is signposted from the village and can be found about 600 metres along the Rue Maurice Camier.

Sancourt village was captured by the Canadian Corps on the 29th September 1918. The British Cemetery was made in October 1918.
There are 236, 1914-18 war casualties commemorated in this site. Of these, 19 are unidentified.
The cemetery covers an area of 634 square metres and is enclosed by a rubble wall.
The cemetery was designed by Captain Wilfred Clement Von Berg, M. C.

George Cornelius Edward Van-Buren was a British Home Child emigrated to Canada by Fegan Homes. His father was George Van-Buren and his mother was Jane Tyrell. On April 7, 1911, George departed Liverpool aboard the Empress of Britain, arriving in Saint John, New Brunswick on April 14, 1911. From there, George travelled with his party to the Fegan distributing home in Toronto, Ontario.
George's sister, Anne Victoria Tyrrell vanBuren, was also a British Home Child. Anne was emigrated to Canada by Annie MacPherson in 1909.
