The village of Seurre is in the Department of the Côte d'Or, some 24 kilometres east of Beaune. The communal cemetery is lies just north of the village on the road to Pâgny-le-Château. The single grave is in the French Military Plot.
Burial Details
128914 Driver Charles Henry Ward, "F" Battery, 14th Brigade, Royal Horse Artillery, died 16th November 1917, aged 25. Son of Florence Maria Ward, of Laburnum Cottage, Little Waltham, Chelmsford, and the late Henry Ward. Born at Great Leighs. His headstone bears the inscription "Thy Will Be Done"
