Location Information

St Raphaël is a town on the Cote d'Azur in the Var department of France. From the A8 and Frejus, head for the centre of St Raphaël. On entering the town turn left at the tabac on the left, in the direction of La Petite Defend, then right at the next junction. Continue for a short distance to a roundabout and go straight ahead. At the next small roundabout turn left in the direction of College de l'Esterel. The cemetery is a short distance up this road on the right.



Visiting Information

The opening times of the cemetery are: January and February: 08.00 - 17.00 March and April: 08.00 - 18.00 May to September: 08.00 - 19.00 October: 08.00 - 18.00 November and December: 08.00 - 17.00 The Commonwealth war grave will be found in the French military plot (a small semi-circular plot 100 metres on the right hand side of the first left path after turning right at the entrance).

36229 Private E. Stevens, 2nd Bn. The Loyal North Lancashire Regiment, died 4th May 1917.
