Voyennes is a village and commune in the Department of the Somme, on the left bank of the Somme river, between Nesle and Ham. In the Communal Cemetery, a little to the left of the entrance, is buried an officer of the Royal Engineers who died in May, 1917.

Second Lieutenant Robert Leslie Fairclough, 218th Field Company, Royal Engineers, died 5th May 1917, aged 27. Born at Sunderland. Son of Florence Fairclough, of 27, Holly Avenue, Newcastle-on-Tyne, and the late Robert Morgan Fairclough, of Sunderland.
