Location Information

Wasselonne is a town in the Bas-Rhin region of France, to the north of Molsheim. The Protestant communal cemetery is located in the south of the town on the rue de la gare.


Historical Information

Wasselonne Protestant cemetery contains two Commonwealth burials of the First World War. Both graves are located on the North boundary.



Burial details

225524 Private Harry Allen, 2nd/2nd Bn. formerly 4th Bn. Northumberland Fusiliers, London Regiment, (Royal Fusiliers), died 29th June 1918, aged 35. Son of Henry and Elizabeth Allen, of Croydon; husband of Alberta Hopey Pauline Allen, of 271, Bensham Lane, Thornton Heath, Surrey. Twelve years' Service.

43276 Private John William Austin, 17th Bn. Manchester Regiment, died 28th June 1918, aged 34. 
Son of John Austin, of Maidenhead; husband of Ellen Austin, of 23, Denmark St., Maidenhead. His headstone bears the inscription "Rest In Peace"
