Location Information

Amplier is a village and commune in the Department of the Pas-de-Calais, on the North side of the Authie river, three miles South-East of Doullens. 

Historical Information

Amplier Communal Cemetery contains two Commonwealth burials of the First World War.

Burial Details


27868 Private W. G. Simm, 2nd Bn. Durham Light Infantry, died 4th August 1916. Ward of Frances J. Kay, of 1, Poplar St., South Moor, Stanley, Co. Durham.

24567 Private Arthur Wells, 14th Bn. Durham Light Infantry, died 3rd August 1916, aged 21. Son of Rachel and the late William Wells, of 17, George St. East, Sunderland.
