Location Information

Blérancourt is 25 kilometres north-west of Soissons. The cemetery is located in the centre of the commune, on the right hand side on a small road to the right hand side of the church. The cemetery contains 1 Commonwealth war graves, which is located in the front left hand side corner of the cemetery.


Burial Details


Second Lieutenant Ernest Stebbing Collier, 9th Brigade, Royal Garrison Artillery, died 2nd April 1918, aged 29. Son of T. G. and A. Collier; husband of Bessie Collier, of 26, Silverdale, Sydenham, London. Native of Fort Jackson, Cape Province, South Africa. His headstone bears the inscription "Called To Higher Service"
