Location Information
Tilloy-lez-Cambrai is a village on the north-western outskirts of the town of Cambrai and a little east of the road to Douai.
Follow the N30 (Cambrai Ring Road) from Cambrai to its junction with the Tilloy-lez-Cambrai road, the D49, just after the junction of the N30 and the N43 (Douai road). Follow the D49 for approximately 2.2 kilometres, crossing the bridge over the motorway, to a side road on the west-south-west (left) side. The Cemetery lies 200 metres away at the end of the side road.

Historical Information
The village of Tilloy was captured by the Canadian Corps at the beginning of October 1918 in the face of strong opposition, and the cemetery was made by their burial officer on 13 October.
Canada Cemetery contains 265 First World war burials, 24 of them unidentified. Most of the burials are Canadian. Also buried in the cemetery are eight airmen of the Second World War.
Total Burials: 273.
World War One Identified Casualties: Canada 235, United Kingdom 6. Total 241.
World War Two Identified Casualties: Canada 6, United Kingdom 2. Total 8.

William was born on September 4th, 1898 in St. Laurent Manitoba, youngest beloved son of Ambroise and Catherine Chaboyer, and was my grandfather Maxim’s youngest brother. They both served in World War One. William died September 28th, 1918 at the age of 22 during Canada’s Hundred Days. He was in the Cdn Infantry Reg, 52nd Batallion, Manitoba Regiment.

Born 22nd December 1892 in Jamaica, British West Indies. Son of Frederick William and Louise Stockhausen of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Only brother to seven sisters, one of whom, married Pvt. Lewis Campbell, a comrade of Fred’s from the 58th Bn. , after the war.
Enlisted on 18th February 1916 at Toronto, Ontario, Canada with the 170th O.S. Battalion, C.E.F. Mississauga Horse. Served in France with the 58th Battalion beginning in 1916 as a Private. Was granted a commission of Lieutenant on 2nd of May 1918 and returned to his unit on 28th of September 1918. Killed in action during the Battle of Canal du Nord.
