Location Information

Conteville is a small village some 20 kilometres north-east of Abbeville just off the D941 road to Auxi-le-Chaut. Some 19 kilometres from Abbeville along the D941 take the D56 south east to Conteville. The Churchyard will be easily located in the village. The graves are at the rear of the church near a path. 
Conteville Churchyard contains one Commonwealth burial of the First World War and one from the Second World War.

19234 Private S. Wakefield, 5th Bn. Dorsetshire Regiment, died 16th February 1917.


World War Two Burial


105369 Serjeant Leopold Ticehurst, Royal Army Service Corps, died 21st May 1940, aged 27.
