Location Information

Dompierre French National Cemetery is locates south of the village. 

Historical Information


The French National Cemetery was made in 1921 and contains the graves of 1,275 French soldiers. The two Commonwealth graves of March 1918 were moved here from Tricot Communal Cemetery French Extension.



Burial Details

M2/078615 Lance Corporal James Dobson Davidson, 886th M.T. Coy, attd XVIII Corps Heavy Artillery, Army Service Corps, died 27th March 1918.

Second Lieutenant Henry Arthur Somerville M. C. 82nd Sqdn and Royal Sussex Regiment, Royal Flying Corps, died 28th March 1918, aged 22. Son of Andrew and Margaret Jane Somerville of 20 Leaf Road, Eastbourne, Sussex.
