Location Information

Étréaupont is a village 23 kilometres south of Avesnes-sur-Helpe.

From Avesnes-sur-Helpe take the N2 to La Capelle, then continue on the N2 to Etreaupont. The Cemetery is on the right hand side of a small road to 'Entre-duex-Bois'. 

Within the Cemetery there are 3 Commonwealth burials of the 1914-1918 war which are located in the South-West part.



Burial Details

250127 Private Thomas Frederick Goodyear, 3rd Bn. London Regiment (Royal Fusiliers), died 12th September 1918, aged 34. Son of Harry and Catherine S. Goodyear, of 46, Belmont St., Chalk Farm Rd., London.

2236 Private William Rusconi, 47th Bn. Australian Infantry, A.I.F., died 1st September 1918, aged 43. Son of Charles and Jane Rusconi. Born at Guildford, Victoria, Australia.

43045 Private A. G. Simpson, 6th Bn. King's Own Scottish Borderers, died 12th September 1918.

The Headstones are very weather worn and the Private Memorial to A. G. Simpson is almost totally unreadable
