La Capelle-en-Thierache Communal Cemetery is in the small town of La Capelle in the Aisne department of France.
La Capelle is some 18 kilometres due south of Avesnes-sur-Helpe on the N2 road. The Cemetery is located down a small road approximately 91 metres past the junction of the N2 and the N29, on the left hand side of the N2 in the direction of the town (rue du Cimetiere).
The Commonwealth War Graves are in 2 plots to the right hand side of the main path in the French War Graves Plot.
Historical Information
The graves at La Capelle, all of March-June, 1918, were brought in from the German Extension of the Communal Cemetery (Soldatenfriedhof No. 2).
There are 11 Commonwealth burials of the 1914-18 war commemorated in this site.
