Son of Joseph Clarke Anderson and Kissock Rae Anderson, of 21, Holt Avenue, Mosman, New South Wales. Native of Bergalia.
A jeweller from Randwick, NSW prior to enlistment, Cpl Anderson embarked with the rank of Private with the 8th Reinforcements, 2nd Battalion from Sydney on HMAT Runic on 9 August 1915. After serving at Gallipoli, he transferred to the 54th Battalion with the rank of Corporal. Later promoted to Sergeant, he was initially posted as missing in action at Fromelles, France, however a subsequent Court of Enquiry determined that he had been killed in action on 19 July 1916.

A business manager prior to enlisting in July 1915, Allan Bennett embarked from Adelaide with the 1st Reinforcements aboard HMAT Geelong (A2) on 18 November 1915. He was promoted to the rank of Lance Corporal on 25 May 1916. L Cpl Bennett arrived in France for service on the Western Front on 23 June 1916 and was killed in action at Fleurbaix, France, on 20 July 1916.
Two of L/Cpl Bennett's brothers also served, 1675 Private Henry Collier Bennett, Australian Army Medical Corps and Captain Harold Bruce Bennett, 51st Battalion. Both survived the war and returned to Australia.

He was a 21 year old locomotive driver prior to enlisting on 16 August 1915, the day after his older brother, Edward Brougham Cressy. The two brothers embarked for overseas with the 13th Reinforcements of the 1st Battalion from Sydney on 20 December 1915 aboard HMAT Aeneas. While serving in France with the 54th Battalion, Pte Henry Cressy was killed in action at Fleurbaix on 19/20 July 1916. His brother survived the war and returned to Australia.

He transferred to the 54th Battalion before arriving in France for service on the Western Front in June 1916. Pte William Cuckson was killed during the 54th Battalion's attack on German positions at Fromelles on the night of 19/20th July 1916. His brother, Victor Cuckson, survived the war and returned to Australia.
