Guebwiller is a large town in the Haut-Rhin region of France. The French National Cemetery and the German Military Cemetery are located to the west of the town off the Rue du Vieil Armand where there is a large car park for those visiting the cemeteries.

The cemeteries contains 175 German graves from the Second and 1,063 German and 443 French graves from World War One.
There are also 9 Russian Burials from World War One
The soldiers who died in the Second World War were killed during the winter of 1944/1945 in fights against the American forces in the Vosges-mountains or died of wounds in military hospitals.
