Location Information

L'Étoile is a village in the Department of the Somme, some 20 km South-East of Abbeville. The original church has been destroyed and replaced by a more modern style church named Chapelle Sainte Anne. There is one burial in the North-East corner of the new ground.


Burial Details


22268 Driver J. Weir, 15th Division, Amm. Col. Royal Field Artillery, died 31st July 1916, aged 19. Son of Mrs. Margaret Weir, of 5, James St., Shettleston, Glasgow. Native of Avonbridge, Stirlingshire.
