Location Information

Mazinghien is a very small village in the Nord Department of France, some 32 kilometres south-east of Cambrai and 8 kilometres south-south-east of Le Cateau-Cambresis. From Le Cateau-Cambresis take the D12 south-south-east towards Warnigny. After 6 kilometres turn left onto the D115 towards Mazinghien. The Cemetery is located to the north of the village. The Commission Plot is to the rear of the cemetery.


History Information

Mazinghien was captured on the 19th October, 1918, by the American 30th and 27th Divisions. There are now over 20, 1914-18 war casualties commemorated in this site. All fell in October and November, 1918, and were buried by British troops.
