Location Information
Trefcon and Caulaincourt are two villages about 14 kilometres west of St Quentin on the south side of the main N29 Amiens-St Quentin road.
Trefcon Cemetery is situated between the two villages on the D34 road.

The location or design of this site makes wheelchair access impossible.
Historical Information
On the 22nd March 1918 Caulaincourt and Trefcon was captured by the Germans, in spite of a stout defence by the 50th (Northumbrian) Division. The villages were regained by British troops in September 1918.
The cemetery was made by the IX Corps (6th and 32nd Divisions) in September 1918, and was called at that time Caulaincourt Military Cemetery.
There are now 290, 1914-18 and a small number of 1939-45 war casualties commemorated in this site. Of these, 13 from the 1914-18 War are unidentified.
The Cemetery covers an area of 977 square metres and is enclosed by a low rubble wall.
The cemetery was designed by Charles Henry Holden and Noel Ackroyd Rew

His sergeant told George's mother in a letter, that George died after he was hit by a bomb from an enemy aeroplane.
Only son of James and Harriet Carver, of 35 Marsden Road, Burnley. He worked as a weaver at the Walshaw Mill Co. Harle Syke.

Son of George Henry and Caroline Fanny Male, of Holland House, Church St., Malvern, Worcs. Native of Wyke Hill, Winchester.
Reginald aged 21 at the outbreak of war was a clerk in the Alton branch of the Union of London and Smith’s Bank although under age he joined the Hampshire Yeomanry Carabineers transferring later to the M.G.C., he had been in France for 2 years and seen much fighting. Mr George H. Male was the Postmaster of Pembroke Dock.
