Location Information

Neuilly-St. Front is a commune 26 kilometres south of Soissons, 3 kilometres south of the River Ourcq.

The Cemetery is on the right hand side of the road, Departementale D973, in the direction of Latilly, on the outskirts of the town.

Neuilly-St. Front Communal Cemetery contains three Commonwealth burials of the First World War, which are located in the rear of the cemetery, on the left hand side of the main path.



Burial Details

8030 Private William George Field, 1st Bn. East Lancashire Regiment, died 22nd September 1914, aged 31. Son of George and Mary Field, of London; husband of Emily Letitia Field, of 230, Southampton St., Camberwell, London.

1044 Private Franklin Daniel Jordan, 4th Dragoon Guards (Royal Irish), died 18th September 1914, aged 26. Husband of Daisy K. Jordan, of 20, Old Ruttington Lane, Canterbury, Kent. His headstone bears the inscription "Thy Will Be Done"

757 Private Robert Sharman, 2nd Bn. Lancashire Fusiliers, died 27th September 1914, aged 27. Son of James Wyatt Sharman and Annie Elizabeth Sharman, of Ashton-under-Lyne, Lancashire.
