Son of Octavius and Jessie Augusta Francis Armstrong; husband of Mrs. F. L. Armstrong. Of Mount Perry, Queensland. Also served in the South African War.
Studio portrait of Second Lieutenant (2nd Lt) Francis Leofric (Frank) Armstrong, 15 Battalion, of Kangaroo Point, Qld. A veteran of the war in South Africa (Boer War) and a former bank clerk, 2nd Lt Armstrong enlisted on 9 October 1914. As a member of E Company, he embarked for overseas service from Melbourne aboard HMAT Ceramic (A40) on 22 December 1914. 2nd Lt Armstrong was promoted to Lieutenant (Lt) in February 1915. He was killed in action at Gallipoli on 10 May 1915, aged 33, and was buried at Quinn's Post.

A butcher, of Mount Morgan, Queensland, he enlisted on 27 August 1914 and embarked from Brisbane aboard HMAT Star of England on 24 September 1914 for Alexandria, Egypt. His unit moved to the Dardanelles on 9 May 1915. Pte Beyers was killed in action at Monash Gully, Gallipoli Peninsula, on 28 May 1915. He was aged 24 years.

Studio portrait of Second Lieutenant (2nd Lt) Robert Harold Crow, 13th Battalion from Waverley, NSW. A 23 year old clerk prior to enlisting, he had previously served with the 33rd Infantry Militia. Following his appointment as a 2nd Lt on 9 October 1914 and then promotion to Lieutenant on 16 December, he embarked for overseas with A Company from Melbourne on 22 December 1914 aboard HMAT Ulysses (A38). After landing at Anzac Cove, Gallipoli on 25 April 1915, he was killed in action on 3 May 1915 and buried in Quinn’s Post cemetery, Gallipoli, Turkey.

A farmer prior to enlisting on 23 September 1914, Pte Ellem embarked from Melbourne on 22 December 1914 with F Company on HMAT Ceramic. He was killed in action at Gallipoli on 1 May 1915 at the age of 19. He was one of six brothers who enlisted; another brother, 642 Sergeant Boyd Alexander Ellem, was killed in action in France on 19 September 1918 and is commemorated on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial
