Location Information

Rosny-sous-Bois Communal cemetery is 4 miles East of Paris. Two soldiers from the United Kingdom, who died in 1914, are buried in a small French Military plot against the East boundary wall.


​Burial Details


7840 Private A. Rushworth, 2nd Bn. Duke of Wellington's (West Riding Regiment), died 5th September 1914, aged 27.
Son of William and Elizabeth Rushworth, of 57, Chassum St., Manningham, Bradford. His headstone bears the inscription "Gone But Not Forgotten From Father, Mother & Sisters"
 

6399 Lance Corporal G. Upton, 4th Dragoon Guards, (Royal Irish), died 4th September 1914.
