Location Information

Vierzy is a commune 16 kilometres south of Soissons, in the department of Aisne. The Communal cemetery is on the left hand side of the road, direction St Remy Blanzy. There are 2 Commonwealth burials of the First World War located against the right hand wall in the centre of the cemetery.

Burial Details


132498 Gunner Arthur Baillie, "B" Battery, 152nd Brigade, Royal Field Artillery, died 27th July 1918, aged 25. Son of Abner and Elsie Baillie, of 29, Connell Terrace, Craig St., Airdrie. His headstone bears the inscription "To Memory Dear" 

89539 Gunner Percy James Chanter, "B" Battery, 152nd Brigade, Royal Field Artillery, died 27th July 1918, aged 25. Son of James and Amelia Chanter, of 96, Ross St., Mill Rd., Cambridge.
