Sergeant John "Jack" Turriff. Born September 30th, 1889 to parents Thomas Turriff and Margaret Curry in Turriff, Ontario, Canada.

Enlisted in WW1 in Bancroft, Ontario as part of the 155th Battalion and sailed to England aboard the SS Northland and arrived in England Oct 28 1916.

Killed in the battle of Cambrai at Iwuy France . Jack is buried in Niagara Cemetery about 5 miles east of Cambrai, France.
