His headstone bears the inscription; "Dulce Et Decorum Est Pro Patria Mori."
Previously admitted to 3rd London General Hospital on 29th August 1916 with a gun shot wound to the abdomen, he made a full recovery and returned to the front. On 11th April 1917, he was observing in a sunken road near Bullecourt when he was wounded in the back by shrapnel. He was put on a stretcher to be taken to a Dressing Station but died on the way.

Elver Baker was wounded in the arm at Bullecourt on 11th April 1917, he was later seen by Corporal James Hall at a nearby Dressing Station and the two men spoke, Cpl. Hall didn't think that the wound was "too bad". Unfortunately it appears that Elver later succumbed to his wounds.

Frank Leslie Bell, 2nd Reinforcements, 29th Battalion, of Armidale, NSW. Pte Bell enlisted on 13 July 1915 and embarked from Melbourne aboard HMAT Demosthenes on 29 October 1915. He later served as a Lance Corporal. He was killed in action on 11 April 1917 at Bullecourt, France, whilst serving with the 14th Battalion.
Private J. W. Phillips later gave this description of the last moments of Frank Bell;
"I saw him hit by M.G. fire in the stomach at Bullecourt, just as he was getting into the German front line on 11th April. I did not think he could get over it. He was just conscious when I last saw him, but could not speak. I was wounded about three quarters of an hour later and he was still lying in the trench when I left. Our CO. had to retire at this point a few hours later and my mates told me he'd to be left there. He belonged to 1st Platoon, A. Coy., with me. I knew him very well, he cam from some part of Victoria, he used to talk a lot about Dairy Farming and I think had something to do with that in civil life."

From Sale, Vic. A horse driver prior to enlisting in September 1914, Pte Clues embarked from Melbourne on board HMAT Ceramic (A40) on 22 December 1914. As part of the 16th Battalion, Pte Clues landed at Anzac Cove on 25 April 1915. He was wounded at Gallipoli in May 1915 and spent some months recovering in England. He returned to his Battalion at Gallipoli in September 1915 and stayed until evacuation in December. In Egypt on 22 March 1916, Pte Clues was promoted to Corporal (Cpl). The 16th Battalion arrived in France in June 1916 to serve on the Western Front and on 5 February 1917 Cpl Clues was wounded in action by shell fire. In March 1917 he was demoted to Private for drunkeness while on leave in Paris. Pte Clues rejoined his battalion from hospital on 29 March 1917 and was killed in action at Bullecourt, France, on 11 April 1917. He was 24 years of age.

George Collins and his brother, Norman were both killed in the same incident. Both were in a dug out in advance of Noreuil when it received a direct hit from a shell. The brothers were buried next to each other but only George's body was later recovered or identified and Norman is now commemorated on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial.

An Ironmonger, of Donald Victoria. He enlisted in the 31st Battalion on 14 July 1915 and embarked from Melbourne aboard HMAT Wandilla on 9 November 1915 for Suez. The battalion relocated to the Western Front, France, in June 1916. Pte Davey was wounded in action for the first time on 21 November 1916 and rejoined his unit on 6 April 1917. Pte Davey was fatally wounded in action on 20 May 1917 and died of these wounds the same day. He was aged 26 years.
