Son of Thomas James and Eliza Emmins of 68, Frederick St., Maylands, South Australia. Born in London, England.
His headstone bears the inscription; "Greater Love Hath No Man Than This He Died To Save Others."
2509, Private S. L. Wilson later said;
"I saw him killed at Bullecourt by a shrapnel pellet which caught him in the head, killing him instantly. I do not know place of burial, we lost the ground at the time of casualty, but it was retaken later."

Son of Mrs. Rose Harris (Formerly Feuins), of Addison Rd., Black Forest, South Australia, and the late Peter Feuins. Born at Adelaide.
His headstone bears the inscription; "So Dearly Loved And Sadly Missed At Home."
He embarked from Adelaide on the A19 HMAT Afric on 11 April 1916. His grave is shown in the above image, behind to the left is is the grave of 14870 Pte J Webster, 2nd/6th Battalion, Duke of Wellington's (West Riding Regiment.) who died on 28 June 1917 and on the right the partly destroyed cross of what is probably the grave of Gunner Henry Douglas Whittingham, Australian Field Artillery, killed in action 1917. Both these men are now buried in Queant Road Cemetery.
Private John Alexander McCallum gave the following details;
"I was with Feuins when he died. He was killed instantaneously by a big shell. There were twelve of us and all men killed apart from myself and a Corporal. It was on 5/17 at Bullecourt."

A labourer from Ullina via Allendale, Victoria prior to enlistment, Pte Foley embarked with the 11th Reinforcements from Melbourne on RMS Orontes on 29 March 1916. Later reported as missing in action, a subsequent court of enquiry determined that he had been killed in action on 2 May 1917. His remains were later recovered and re-interred in the Queant Road Cemetery, Buissy, France.

Spent time in hospital at Boulogne with a gun shot wound to the left eye received on 5th July 1916 which left him with a prominent scar to his face.
